What time can I check in?
Strictly between 14:00 and 17:00 (late check-in on request)
When do I need to check out?
Strictly at 10am (late check out will be charged at R500/hour, which will be deducted from your breakage deposit). Please contact your host max 24hours in advance should you wish to check out earlier than 10am.
Is there internet access?
Yes, there is High Speed internet, not for downloads.
When is full payment of accommodation due?
This is dependent on your type of booking. Please check your invoice.
Will we have exclusive access?
Yes, the unit sleeps a maximum of 4 people.
Are you pet friendly?
No, unfortunately no pets allowed.

No, there are only stairs and the apartment is situated on the 2nd floor.

Do you charge a breakage deposit?
Yes we charge a damage deposit of R 1 000 which is fully refundable after your stay for up to 24hours should all be in order.
How far are you situated from Cape Town?
18.5km from Cape Town city centre
Do you offer a cleaning service?
Yes, we add a cleaning service charge to your booking, however, should you require cleaning during your stay, this can be arranged at an additional charge.
Do you offer breakfast?
No we are a fully equipped self-catering establishment.

What is Load shedding?

Load shedding, or load reduction, is done countrywide as a controlled option to respond to unplanned events to protect the electricity power system from a total blackout.

Load shedding is a measure of last resort to prevent the collapse of the power system- country-wide. When there is insufficient power station capacity to supply the demand (load) from all the customers, the electricity system becomes unbalanced, which can cause it to trip out country-wide (a blackout). When power is insufficient, Eskom can thus either increase supply or reduce demand to bring the system back into balance.

Scheduled load shedding is controlled by way of sharing the available electricity among all its customers.

Who is Eskom?

Eskom is a local power utility service provider.

Eskom generates approximately 95% of the electricity used in South Africa and approximately 45% of the electricity used in Africa.

What is Eskom’s Role in South Africa?

Eskom’s mandate is to ensure security of electricity supply to service the South African economy and society.

Eskom therefore generates, transports and distributes electricity – and this is predominantly for the entire country.

How will guests staying at Shore2Please be impacted?

Load shedding can occur at any time once instructed by Eskom based on the supply and demand of our current electricity supply.

Load shedding affects us the same way it affects everyone in South Africa. However, Shore2Please has put measures in place to alleviate the inconvenience.

During Loadshedding…
  • Lighting in oustide area’s will remain on.
  • WiFi remains on.
  • A re-chargeable light is provided inside the apartment.
  • Shore2Please is equipped with a gas stove for meal preparation as well as a gas weber.
  • The apartment is equipped with a gas geyser, warm will not be affected.
How can guests prepare for loadshedding?
  • Check the loadshedding schedule daily to prepare.
  • Charge any electronics.
  • Prepare oven dishes.
